These two landscapes approach the outdoors in very different ways. The first landscape is dramatic. It’s a depiction of Angel’s Landing, UT. A massive rock formation dominates the view beneath broad streaks of orange, red, and blue sky. Layers of trees, open ground, and distant hills create depth while emphasizing the scale of the rock.

The second landscape is a quiet nighttime beach scene with dense evergreens and a pale moon set against a lavender evening sky. The simple composition and muted colors give it a calm, almost hushed feeling. The yellow stakes are markers for turtle nests that often appear on Florida beaches.

Both are acrylic, and together, the paintings show two sides of landscape painting: one intimate and peaceful, the other expansive and bold.
